Registration and Fees

Please carefully read the entire "Registration and Fees" section of the website before registering for summer courses. This section is full of important information pertaining to fees, refunds, academic policies and deadlines. If you have questions, please contact the Berkeley Summer Sessions' Student Services team for assistance.

Before You Register

  • If you are a registered UC Berkeley student for the current or immediately preceding spring semester, you must use TeleBEARS to register for Summer.
  • If you are a student at other UC campus, a visiting student, or an international student, use the Registration Form on this website. International students may also want to check for an International Registration Center in their own country.
  • Read posted sections on Academic Policies, Fees and Refunds (International students should also read the sections on Visa).
  • Read the sections on Registration Changes for information on Cancellation, Withdrawal, wait lists and grading option changes.
  • Use the Online Schedule of Classes to choose which course(s) you will take. Note the Course Control Number (CCN) as you will need them for your registration. Pay special attention to the Session dates and class times of the course. It is your responsibility to choose courses that do not conflict time-wise.

After You Register
(applicable only to non-UC Berkeley students)

  • You will receive a confirmation email that contains your Application ID.
  • You will receive a Confirmed Class Schedule by email.
  • If you need housing, on-campus housing is provided by the University Residence Halls and International House. Resources for off-campus housing can be found at Cal Rentals. Summer Sessions does not handle or provide any housing resources.
