Description

Description

The Freshman Summer Session at UC Berkeley is a specially designed program for freshmen who have been admitted to UC Berkeley for fall. This program gives you an early start on your Berkeley experience, offering popular required courses. Get to know the campus before the fall rush and connect with peers at both the Freshman Kickoff event and popular co-curricular activities. As an incoming freshman, you'll save money in this program by paying UC student rates rather than Summer Sessions visiting student rates.

Courses

Courses

You may enroll in up to two courses during Freshman Summer Session. Students pick one course from List A (courses which are traditionally impacted in the fall) and may choose to take a second course, either from List A or List B (courses specially recommended for freshmen).

Freshman Summer Session courses take place in two sessions: Session C - from June 21 to August 13 (eight weeks), and Session D - July 6 to August 13 (six weeks)

Note: If you are enrolling in a course for your intended major, you must take that course for a letter grade.

Fees

Fees

Fees for students participating in Freshman Summer Sessions are charged at the UC Berkeley student rate. There are no registration fees or program fees. You do not pay at the time that you apply for the program, instead you'll receive an e-bill with information on how to pay your charges in full.

Fees have not yet been set for Summer 2010.
